Lyndsey Self from Ilminster could hardly believe her ears on Friday when she received a phone call telling her she had won a brand new Fiat 500.
She bought the winning ticket from motability specialists Brotherwoods at an event at Westlands Sports and Social Club. Over 4,000 tickets were sold by Brotherwood, Vale Motors of Wincanton and Yeovil Rotary Club at various events over the summer with proceeds going to the Children’s Hospice South West.
Vicar of Dibley actor Trevor Peacock joined staff from Brotherwoods and Vale Motors, Rotarian Alan Graham and John Wyatt representing the hospice on Friday to make the grand draw.
Also joining the party was John Lambert, a wheelchair user who when he asked Rob Brotherwood to adapt a car for his use, set the wheels in motion for the establishment of the Brotherwoods business.
